The TyTek PneumoDart is a purpose-built chest decompression device designed for the emergency treatment of tension pneumothorax. Developed to improve the safety and effectiveness of needle decompression, the PneumoDart combines a 14 gauge, 3.25-inch needle with several features intended to assist medical professionals during critical interventions.
The PneumoDart incorporates a Veress safety tip designed to help reduce the risk of puncturing underlying internal organs during insertion. A visible cap head allows the provider to observe air or blood leaving the chest, while the Luer-lock cap provides the ability to actively draw or remove air or blood when clinically appropriate.
Its compact, portable design makes the PneumoDart well suited for EMS, tactical medicine, military medical applications and emergency trauma kits.
